What is Roots of Empathy? The Roots of Empathy Programme was founded by Mary Gordon. Roots of Empathy is an evidence-based classroom programme that has shown dramatic effect in reducing levels of aggression among school children by raising social/emotional competence and increasing empathy. Schedule There are nine different themes. Each theme consist of three sessions. The first and third is just the class and me. The second one is when the baby and mother visit. The themes are as follows:
